Save yourself the stress!
Week 1:
How do you miss a flight? You know what time it is, you’re packed and ready to go — and yet, missing a flight is something nearly everyone has done, or has nearly done.
I pride myself on being an organized traveler - packed, at the airport on time, with my cosmetics in bags, my neck pillow tied on, locks done - I know how to survive plane travel.
Needless to say, I felt my stomach drop when at the Denpasar airport, I heard my name being called over the loudspeaker.
How was this possible? I was at my gate with everyone else! Check in hadn’t even started!
I nervously asked an attendant for help and showed her my ticket. She tried to explain to me that I was at the wrong gate, but since I don’t speak Indonesian it took me a while to understand why - turns out I was at gate 21A, not 21B. She pointed me in a new direction and I toddled as fast as I could in my floppy heeled sandals, clomped down some stairs and wheezed at the man at the gate that I was Laura and please can I still get on the plane! Some more confused explaining and a few tears later, he pointed me towards a door and let me hop on the last luggage transfer, with all the fragile goods, and the luggage cart dropped me off at the steps of the plane.
Let me tell you, the worst part of almost missing a flight is when everyone watches your disorganized self-board the plane, puffed and trying to find somewhere to fit your hand luggage so that the flight can finally take off.

Here’s how that story would go if I’d had this magic little app.
On arriving at the airport, I open Boarding Path and find Denpasar Airport. I put in my flight and gate number. I check my baggage, registering it in the app. I look up where my gate is and the app guides me to exactly the right one. If I had put in 21B instead of 21A, it lets me know: hey, that’s not where your flight is supposed to leave from! I follow the app’s map to 21B in plenty of time, board the plane with no worries, and afterwards I follow the app to the baggage carousel my bag is at. Stress Free!
