The love/hate relationship with air travel

I have a bit of a love/hate relationship with air travel. I love the excitement, the newness, the potential to go anywhere.

There are also elements however, that I just hate: the long waits, the questionable food, getting lost in the terminal, jet lag, the list goes on.

The hate element of this relationship goes up the more air travel I have to do.

One summer, I had to fly from Scotland to Australia, and then from Australia to Canada, in the space of about three days. I spent over 50 hours either on a plane or in the airport and all the little niggles added up to me NEVER wanting to set foot in an airport again.

The equation looked something like this….

Confusing parking at the terminal + long line at the baggage drop + can’t find anything I want to eat + went to the gate way too early + flight got delayed (I forgot to check) + red eye flight + couldn’t get a taxi to the hotel + do it all over again = I hate airports.

Unsurprisingly, when my travel buddies and I heard about the app Boarding Path, our first thought was - FINALLY!

It solves all the airport niggles, at all major airports around the world.

Parking problems solved? Check.

Baggage drop express? Check.

Eatery directory? Check.

Gate information and location? Check.

Flight updates? Check.

Transport options? Check.

It makes you your most organised, together, easy-breezy version of your airport self. I have since been convinced to return to airports, confident of an easy, frustration-free trip
